Kaal (“we”, “us”, “our”) is provided for reflection and entertainment. We’ve designed it to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what we handle and how.
Your life timeline and your current season are free. The deeper reading for every chapter is an optional one-time unlock (₹49), handled by Razorpay Checkout.
Razorpay’s checkout script is only loaded if you actually press the pay button — if you never pay, no request is ever made to Razorpay and no third party learns you were here. Kaal never sees or stores your card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials; those go directly to Razorpay.
Your birth details are never sent to Razorpay, or to us. The payment and the astrology are entirely separate systems: we deliberately send no name, no chart, and no notes with the payment, so there is nothing to link a transaction back to a reading. Your chart stays on your device whether you pay or not.
When you pay, our server checks Razorpay’s signature and issues your browser a signed unlock pass. That pass records a payment reference, a timestamp, and the scrambled fingerprint described in section 2 — which ties the unlock to the chart you bought it for, and which we cannot read back. It carries no name, no contact detail and no readable birth data. On later visits your browser sends the pass back to us to confirm it is genuine; that request contains the pass and nothing else.
Kaal runs its own analytics. There is no third-party analytics script on this site: measurement data goes to kaal.site and nowhere else, so no outside company learns that you were here. We set no cookies, for analytics or anything else.
Alongside page views we record a short list of named events, so we can tell which parts of Kaal are used and where people get stuck — for example when a timeline is revealed (including whether birth time was left unknown), when the birth form rejects an entry and for which of five reasons, when a chapter or reading tab is opened, when the language is switched, when the unlock panel is seen or pressed, and whether a payment succeeded or failed.
Each event is stored with: the event name, the time, the page path, the referring website’s host name (never the full link), a coarse screen-size class (narrow or wide), and a visit id. The visit id is a random number kept in your browser’s session storage — it is discarded when you close the tab, it is not a cookie, and it cannot recognise you on a later visit or on any other website. Its only purpose is to let us count a single visit’s steps as one journey rather than as unrelated events.
If you arrived through a link we tagged ourselves — for example one posted on Instagram or shared on WhatsApp — we also record that tag, so we can tell which of our own posts brought people here. We read only three named tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) and never the rest of the web address you arrived on.
We never store your IP address. It is used momentarily, in a one-way scrambled form that expires within a minute, only to stop someone flooding the endpoint with junk. It is never written to our records and cannot be recovered from them.
None of these events include your birth details — no date, no time, no place, no nakshatra, no dasha, and nothing from which your chart could be reconstructed. The server refuses to store any field it has not been explicitly told to accept, so this holds even if we make a mistake in the app. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Daily totals are kept for about 400 days so we can compare one year to the next. The underlying event list is a fixed-size rolling buffer — roughly the most recent 20,000 events — and older entries are overwritten automatically.
Giving us your email is optional. We ask once, underneath your timeline, after you have already seen it — never as a condition of showing it to you. Ignore the box and everything works exactly the same, including the paid unlock.
If you do leave one, we use it to send you the occasional note about your timeline — for example when one of your periods is about to turn, which is a date only your own chart knows. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers, and we do not send daily mail.
It is stored on its own. Your address is sent in a separate request from everything else, kept in a separate place, and stored with nothing beside it except the date you signed up. It is never stored with your birth details, and it is never attached to any record of which pages you visited. We have deliberately built it so that no one — including us — can look at an address and find the matching chart, because no such connection exists anywhere in our systems.
To be removed, email us at kaalsupport@gmail.com and we will delete your address. Every message we send will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
We store one thing that identifies you, and only if you chose to give it: your email address, and the date you gave it. That is the whole of it. You may contact us at any time to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it erased, and we will act on reasonable requests promptly and free of charge. Erasure is genuinely complete — because your address is stored on its own, deleting it leaves nothing behind that could refer back to you.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to delete your address. Doing so does not affect any timeline you have already seen, and it does not remove your access to a reading you have paid for — your unlock lives on your own device and does not depend on us knowing who you are.
Because your birth details never reach our servers, there is nothing for us to show you, correct, or delete on that front — clearing your browser’s site data removes them entirely, and they were only ever on your own device.
Kaal is intended for users aged 18 and above.
